Identify what one ordered unit contains
One unit might be a single vehicle, a multi-car set or a complete fishing game. A piece count printed on the box often describes components inside that unit. Ask the supplier to define the selling unit and use it consistently in the quotation and packing list.
Separate the minimum from the packing multiple
The MOQ is the minimum accepted quantity under the quoted conditions. Units per carton describes packing. In an illustrative offer with 24 retail sets per carton and a minimum of 72 sets, the minimum is three cartons. Do not read 24 pieces inside each play set as the number of retail sets in a carton.
Ask which changes alter the minimum
A standard item, assorted colors and a custom printed box may have different minimums. Ask whether the quoted quantity applies per color, per artwork or across the item. Consolidating different suppliers does not automatically reduce each factory or packing minimum.
Resolve a mismatch in writing
If the requested quantity does not fit full cartons, ask whether partial-carton packing is available and what changes in cost or protection. Record the agreed units, carton count and any mixed contents before approval. A clear quantity basis avoids discrepancies at both payment and warehouse receipt.
