Choose the level of change
An existing toy with a new box is a packaging project. A new body color adds material and appearance decisions. A changed mechanism or new mold creates a different development scope. Mark the parts that must change and ask for feasibility, quantity and approval requirements for each.
Keep the sample and artwork connected
Approve the product version before finalizing content illustrations and accessory claims. Supply authorized artwork, required language and barcode information. Request the complete dieline and review folds, glue areas, windows and warnings at actual print size.
Use the right approval reference
A digital layout can establish placement and wording, but it does not prove finished color or material. Where these matter, identify a physical proof. Keep the final filenames, revision and approver on the order so an obsolete image or instruction booklet is not reused.
Treat rights and product documents separately
A supplier offering a famous character or vehicle badge does not establish authorization for your destination. Use original or authorized artwork and obtain any required review. Product testing and labeling also need to match the exact ordered configuration; a custom logo does not replace that work.
Send a usable custom brief
Include the selected SKU, requested quantity, marked-up change photographs, destination and launch timing. Identify which features can stay standard. Ask for sample, artwork, tooling and production charges to be shown separately so each payment corresponds to a defined deliverable.
