Describe the buying project
State the destination country, sales channel and required arrival window. Tell the supplier whether you are selecting an existing line, comparing alternatives or developing your own packaging. These details change which samples and commercial questions need to be resolved first.
Identify each product and quantity unit
Send the SKU or a clear product link with the required pieces or sets. For a set, clarify whether you mean one complete retail pack or individual components. If you have a target quantity below the stated minimum, ask about that item specifically rather than assuming several different SKUs can share one minimum.
Make packing and customization visible
Specify standard or custom retail packing, required languages and any barcode or carton-mark requirements. Identify logo, color and accessory changes separately. Request retail-pack dimensions, carton quantity, master-carton dimensions and gross weight for the proposed configuration.
Ask for the scope, not only a number
A usable quotation identifies the product version, currency, quantity, trade term, named place, validity and lead-time basis. Samples, testing, inspection and freight should have explicit treatment. Put unanswered questions on the quotation record so they remain visible before order confirmation.
